tone 1 / 2 extremely different volume levels...

...even when I max out the T1 amp vol- here's what I got:

PF Time preset downloaded from tone library, which has a Bassman for "Intro" & a Soldano 100 (imagine the two being different) for "Solo". My other presets are all pretty close to each other per the manual, should I try a different amp for the "Intro" preset, or raise the channel volume (db level on the display)?

I thought about just making both T1 & 2 the Soldano, lowering some drive & vol on T1. I really like the Solo preset, as I do the Breathe/Reprise; they are spot on to my ears.

Thanks for any tips

I assume you want to balance TONE1 and TONE2 in the same 'slot' without affecting the tone's sound?  If that's correct, then set the TONE volume knob on T1 (the quieter tone) to maximum, then switch to T2 (the soldano) and reduce the TONE volume knob until the balance is correct.

If the overall tone volume of both is now too low, then you can boost them both using the +/-dB setting in the bottom right of the HOME screen.

This shouldn't affect the tones themselves, as opposed to using BOOST, or a COMPRESSOR, etc.  I'm sure there are other ways, but this seems simplest.
