Pod X3 Live Question! PLEASE HELP

Ok, I just got the Pod x3 live and it seems like everytime i try and create a new tone with distortion, i can still hear my clean guitar overpowering the distortion, i just have my guitar plugged in and im listening through the headphone slot. please can someone help me with this?

    I'm no expert but are you using a single, or dual tone? If it's the latter then perhaps the other tone is a clean one and that's what your hearing. I would try turning the (less distorted tone off)

    If that's not the answer then I have no idea
