Using Spider Jam with Guitar and Mic at the same time

Almost bought a G-Dec today until I heard the S-Jam...Unbelievable difference!  Newbie Question....Can I use a mic and guitar at the same time, like a 2nd channel?  I am a solo performer and would like to use the backing capability with a guitar and mic.  Thanks for any help.
