I need to replace the battery housing on my XD-V70 mic. How can I get this part?
Side note: I've already tried Customer Support to no avail.
I have created a support ticket for you regarding this situation. A support ticket allows you to directly correspond with a Line 6 Support Representative. An email will be sent to you from Line 6 containing a link if a Line 6 support representative determines that a ticket is necessary to troubleshoot your issue. Please follow the link in the email to view your open ticket to work one on one with Line 6 Support.
Thanks! I did fill out an inquiry before which resulted in the receipt of this automated email:

Thank you for your inquiry. It has been sent to a Line 6 representative for review. If your request is valid, a support ticket will be created for you by a Line 6 rep and you will be contacted via email within 2-3 business days.

After not hearing anything for 5 days I posted my message here.
I'll close the question out as being answered once I have the replacement housing in hand.
I received a message regarding the support ticket. I did what was suggested by registering the mic and supplying my shipping address. I entered a reply into the message field several times, then click 'update ticket'... each time I click it, the message box clears and my message appears to be gone. Not sure how to let the ticket system know that I've entered the required information.
It appears that you figured out how to respond to the Ticket System... we're in communication via that method, as personal info may be requested and we typically don't want to publish that info publicly out of respect for customer privacy. I'll close this thread and we will assist you offline via the Ticket.
Yes, they ticket system now accepts my responses. Not sure what went on- I'm doing nothing differently. I enter text and click 'update ticket'. When I tried a few days ago it wouldn't accpet my text and discarded it. Yes, we can close this as the support system is working.
Sorry to reopen this... the ticket system *was* working, but now I'm not so sure. My support ticket disappeared a couple weeks ago. I waited a bit, but the ticket doesn't seem to be coming back. Last I remember we were in the final steps of approval, but not completely done with the process. I still need the housing.
Another month has gone by and still I have no mic housing. My support ticket is gone. On 8/26 I said I'd close this ticket as being answered when I have the housing in hand. I still plan on doing that.
This should be a simple process... It seems like this would be a pretty common replacement part.
Rich, I apologize for the breakdown in communication. Your ticket was passed on from Perry to our Parts Administrator on 9/6/11. He placed the order that day, but notated the part was on backorder until 10/27. I believe he inadvertently closed the ticket, thinking he was sending a message to you. I was able to locate a spare housing, so we will send it to your account address from here. I've also re-opened your ticket. Sorry again for the mis-communication.
Thanks SO much for tracking this down! I appreciate it. I'll let you know when it arrives.
Per our support ticket conversation- Please accept my sincere apologies. It appears that the Parts Administrator did have one shipped to me which ended up inside my front door. I don't use the front door so it was just sitting there.
I now have the housing in hand and can close this question as being answered. ![]()
