Moved up to 10.7.2 Mac OS X -- Lion.
USB Interface for Workbench not recognized (monkey, can't start workbench app). USB drivers say 1.03 when I force the "Variax USB Interface" selection.
But, no device found.
Mac's USB Prober says ... its there and connected:
Full Speed device @ 8 (0x24442000): ............................................. Vendor-specific device: "Variax USB Interface"
-- joe
and the interface has green lights USB & Variax 500 connected.
Hey judgej,
Have you made sure to download and install the latest Mac OSX Drivers? They are available for download from the link below:
MAC Drivers : 7.1.0

After installing the drivers, if you are still having trouble make sure and try connecting the USB interface to every available USB port on your computer.
I installed the drivers you to which pointed and ... yes!
USB guitar interface shows up now.
Thanks!
Driver 7.1.0 doesn't work on my machine. Neither pod x3 live nor Variax are recognized. I have the x3 connected directly to my macbook pro, Mac OS 10.7.2.
Maybe USB firmware and flash memory are the problem. I cannot update the firmware under Mac OS 10.5, 10.6 oder 10.7. Monkey says the newest firmware is 1.02, installed is "-". Meaning nothing is installed or not recognizable?
