Toneport KB37 - Dell Latitude E6400 - Reason x64 - popping/crackling

Hi,
I have been trying to get my Line 6 KB37 keyboard to work successfully with my laptop for months. I have a Dell latitude E6400 with 4gb ram, nothing else runnning, disconnected from the internet, antivirus+other processes shut down, increased buffer, no FX etc - it still does it, even with a clearly audible delay (latency)
I love this product but it is driving me crazy trying to get it to work properly. I have bought a powered usb hub to no avail, ive changed cables etc, still no change. I am willing to try anything, hell I'll even pay someone to come and sort this if need be, I just want it to work as intended, a quick and brilliant interface for when I want to record my ideas.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, at this rate I'll be reverting to a tape deck!
Hi,
First, lets check you connections.
Make sure you are running directly into the computer's USB port. If the hub is present this can cause latency.
Also, is the output of the KB37 running back into the laptop's sound card?
Do you hear any latency when using headphones connected directly to the KB37?
Thanks,
David
