Help!
I spent all day tweaking and creating 4 banks of tones on Gearbox. It all seemed great until I tried switching tones on the X3 Live. My #1 tones were fine, but a #2 tone somehow put itself as the second tone on 4 of my tones? If I hit save on the X3 it will show the correct 2 tones, but when I hit save again, a different tone is there? I loaded the saved bundle again and it comes up looking fine until I start switching back and forth? They worked flawlessly in Gearbox, but once it changed in there also aftter switching on the X3?
I just purchased this in great condition for a private party, but I think it is one of the first ones. Could the switch problem do that or is there something I need to know?
Serial # (21) X3L1S6015005760
I have attached the bundle I have been working on.
The content type of this attachment is not allowed. This appeared after trying to post the message? It took the bundle file off.
The Bundle file is .x3m I save it in Gearbox. Do I need to save it in Monkey to change the extention? I save it in Monkey and it still is .x3m? The manual talks about a .16b?
FYI: The bundle I am working on was an XT Live bundle loaded from Monkey, advanced.
I have had an XT LIve for about five years and used it with Edit 3.0. I have found quite a bit of learning curve with the X3 and Gearbox. I love what I getting until the switching thing started. Now I freaked.
HELP!
Thanks!

Hi mark,
No need to panic, it sounds like the 'tone 2 locked' function. If you look at the home screen on your X3L there is a small padlock image in the bottom right. If this is a closed padlock, then tone 2 is locked. This means that even if you change banks tone 2 always stays the same.
The idea for this is if your tone 2 is for example a vocal patch, you don't want to have to copy the patch to all of your effects and also don't want any slight clicks, or glitches in your vocal when you change your guitar patch.
Simply trun the knob under the padlock symbol until it 'opens'. Now you should find when you swap patches that both tones change instead of just tone 1.
I hope that helps?

Thanks! That did it. About the bundle extention, should "x3m" be the standard extention? What about "16b" ?
Thanks again!
Mark
I think the extension should be X3m, or l6t for an individual tone. I do not know about 16b files ... ... 16b sounds like a patch code to me - for example bank 16 has four patches A, B, C, D on the four selector switches. I'm not in front of my device, so can't check sorry :-(
