POD HD Bean and FBV Express MKII and looping

Yes - in fact you can do that with the FBV Express MkI. The MkII allows you to enter looper control from what I recall by pressing a combination of pedals together. I will have to double check my facts on that to be honest as I normally use an FBV Shortboard MkII rather than my FBV Express MkII and it's a good few months since I've used the FBV Express MkII with the POD HD bean. The advanced user guide covers this as I recall.

Unfortunately, Line 6 did not even test the HD bean in looper mode with the FBV Express II before release.
It's a serious bug in the hd bean that potential buyers are not aware of and are not informed by Line 6.
It does not work as advertised and Line 6 don't release bugs fixes as soon as they are detected. They wait very long for a batch fix. Not good for the users. Hopefully this is fixed before summer. ![]()

Line6Perry quote, August 15, 2011:
"The problem is not a hardware issue with the FBV Express MKII. It would appear to a be a bug in the POD HD Bean's current internal operating system software.
We've logged a bug for this issue for software to investigate and respond accordingly. No ETA is available at this point, but we do apologize for the inconvenience. The only solution would have to come in a bug fix of a potential future OS/firmware update via Monkey."
I hear what you say, but I do know for certain that the Bean was tested with the FBV Express MkII before release, so whether the current bug is only present in the current public release or not I wouldn't like to say.
I haven't used my FBV Express MkII with the current firmware for a while, but last time I used it which would have been around the end of May, the looper was working properly for the things I was doing with it, which were to create a simple one shot backing loop rather than trying to do anything particularly clever, so I'm not disputing there may be a bug as per Line6Perry's response, but testing did certainly occur with the FBV Express MkII prior to release, however the reported bug does seem to have slipped through.

Hey keykeeper,
Yes you can engage the looper by pressing and holding the button labled "Hold For Looper". Then reference pages B8-B9 of the user manual at the link below to see how to use the FBV Express MKII to control the POD HD:
