The HD 150 does not have an effects loops, so you have no choice but to run your guitar > BBE > amp > speaker cabinet.
The BBE is typically used for recording studio processing of signals (most often microphones). Not sure why you would need it for live playing through your amp, which has built-in compressor and gate FX.
