JAM4

I've been noodling around with this backing track for well over 6 months, and thought I'd do a little more with it.

I've attached 3 versions

1. the backing only

2. the backing with a short distorted rhythm guitar in the middle of the song, which could fit nicely.

3. My demo including the backing and rhythm. (it's not a great recording, as I had the recording level a little too high and there's a few places where it clips slightly, but it's only a quick demo.

Basically, I'm not sure this one is long enough to mix different peoples parts, so just have a go at jamming over the whole thing on this one, and post it as your own mix with backing and your part together (use either the backing only or the backing with rhythm).

Good luck, and I can't wait to see what you guys do with it

Cheers

I played around with it a little bit--came up with a rhythm track--your lead is so nice....

...what are you using for your tone--is that an XL3--really like it...to me it's close to Mark Knopfler who's like my favorite guitartist...

listening to my track, not sure it always meshes perfectly with your lead...

    Re: JAM4

Ill try to get to this and the other Jam 3 sometime over the weekend got lots going on and I fixed the gr3 and figured out my line 6 reamp issue ..I forgot to solo clean track during playback duh ....

So when I get a chance I will lay my tracks and if I use the Line 6 patch I will send dry and wet if need be.

I would do same if I use GR3 to reamp but am not sure yet how to save a track and send(upload) the single bank patch. But I can still send the dry/wet for it.

Both of these backing tracks were really kewl BTW.

    Re: JAM4

    Here are my jam4tracks.

There is no basline in the backtrack (I like a basline in the mix) so I've sequenced a modest rhythmic basline in addition.

In my demomix I've used 1.9 compression from my DAW on all tracks.

I recorded simultaneous a wet and dry leadtrack (boosted 18dB) and used both in the demomix.

The l6t tone in the wet leadtrack is both channels panned zero.  On the dry leadtrack I used the VST with the same tone but tone1 panned left and tone2 panned right (and with about -18 dB in the input level)
