Why so limited Amp models in the HD

I have owned Line 6 modelers since they have come out. I had the X3-Live and the X3-Pro before buying the HD-500. Great job with the amps that were provided. But, I'm still scratching my head why the Amp models provided is so limited? No Bogner XTC, No Diezel VH4, No Orange, What about a Trainwreck, AMP65, Plexi Bass. How about some Bass amps, why so limted Marshall models. You guys did a great job on the effects and the authentic amps sounds, but I would really like to see some more amp mdels to choose from. Especially Marshalls, Bogners, and Diezels. Please release a flash memory with more of this and don't want to go back to my X3 to find these sounds or spend my entire vacation trying to emulate these tones.
I think that will happen in the future
I myself are very happy with the current models in it. For cleans on the x3 i only liked the orange most of the time. In the hd all amps sound so good, even the clean one's. I'm with you for more excitement!!
This issue is addressed and responded to many times throughout this forum and all over the Internet. Just do a search here for this topic and you should get all kinds of data to comb through. I agree with Glenneke that they will probably add more as time goes on but what is not certain and highly doubted (by me anyway)is that they will give you the ridiculous amount that other packages have had. I mean 100+ amps? That's just goofy.
I for one would like to have maybe 5 or 10 more HD amps (Like what you have mentioned and more) and that would be more than enough to get the job done.

I also agree with that, i played yesterday for the second time with my pod hd going trough the preset list, there where a couple that suited me fine like the angel f ball.. preset ball of fire of something, after setting the presence higher i got
already a great sound out of it and recorded it. After that i experimented a bit and was gobsmacked. there are so many
sound possibillities in this unit i couldn't believe it. C'mon 16 cab models for each amp, 9 mics, 100 + effects and so many
more it's dazzling not to mention how the sound has improved ![]()

Having just 5 or 10 amps is plenty for anyone most likely, but each person's 5 or 10 will vary wildly. At least 5 of the current 22 I have no use for at all and I'm only actively using 7 of the 22. That leaves 10 that I am only luke-warm for. Others' experience may be similar, but which amps are in which category will be different
. That's why it is nice to have a larger number of amp models available. No one is oging to use all of them, but in the list you'll hit everyone's needs with 5 or 10 of them. I miss the Line 6 Originals from the X3, also.
I am pretty sure you misread what I was saying. I said I for one would like to see maybe 5 or 10 MORE amps"
Meaning in addition to the ones we have.
You points are well received though. Definitely different strokes for different folks.
My real amp is a Bogner and it suits my needs just fine for tones that I need in a live setting, I don't really need anything else. The studio environment sure becomes nice, however with all these sonic choices.
Cheers
Mark
Ah, I did indeed misread. We stand in agreement ![]()
There are really only 17 amps being modeled, one of which was the original botched attempt at the Bogner Uberschall brought back by popular demand.
...I mean the last time I checked my Mesa Mark V was only one amp, not three, nine or whatever inflated number you choose to use based on its channels, modes and power amp options.
PS: You might want to ponder why I broke down and bought a Mark V, even though I already own an HD500 (hint: it wasn't because I needed something to use as a slave).

I bought one because it's a great amp all on it's own. And it goes well with my HD Pro. ![]()
With the palate presented from amps and tone shaping items like eq's cabs and mics I dont think anything else i needed I can get a Diezel sound I can get just about any Marshal sound I want .... I dont always stick with the "amp name" ..have used amp like the Dr. Z to get great heavy tones ... or clean and clean break up ... with so much in the arsenal I dont need a specific "Diezel" amp model ... I know what one sounds like and with everything loaded in here I can get "that" sound.
Just my 2 cents ![]()
I would really like to get something from PEAVEY like 5150 AMP ,and LANEY like VH100R or something like that..i miss those very much tbh...
I know it's kind of beating a dead horse, but if there are amps that people would like to see modeled, they should submit their suggestions here: http://line6.com/company/contact/productfeedback/
