This issue could be related to a number of things. First check your connections.
Have you tried connecting to different USB Ports?
Are you using a USB hub?
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed:

If you experienced the same problem on more than one computer, then it is likely that the unit is faulty. The warranty is good only in the country it was purchased in, as described in this FAQ: http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-4838.
