I have only recently bought the amp. Although it was second hand it had hardly been used. The amp of a 120 watt spider IV series. I was using the killswitch engage setting when i lost the distortion. I have messed about with the amp and managed to get it back but then i turned amp of and came back to it and now cant get it back. i have been using other presets and still the problem occurs. I just assumed that maybe it was the lead i was using as it needed repairing and wasnt letting all the sound through it, but i have since used a different lead and the amp still doesn't have any distortion. Can someone help me please? Has this been a problem with other people?
What happens when you turn up the 'DRIVE' knob? Or the FX1 knob (bottom third is 'GAIN')?
i have my drive and gain high like before i lost the distortion. i have not changed them so they are still at full. so unluckily it isnt because of that. thank for trying to help anyway
You don't understand - the drive and gain will be what the preset calls for unless you turn the knobs!
You need to dial in the preset, edit it if you want, then save it. This video shows you how: http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2078.
