I guess my POD HD500's USB is fried up

Hello,

It seems that something is wrong with my USB Connect of POD HD500. When I try to record it in my laptop in Sonic the sound is fuzzing and buzzing. I tried updating the drivers, re-installing them but nothing seems to work. If you want I can upload the sound file so that you can understand what I mean to say :-/

Should I give it for repair ?

    Hey man

No... still too early for repair. There are some issues you should check.

First of all, there's an issue on HD500's patches. Take a look at your patches (it's easier to see at HD 500 edit), at the upper left corner and check the Input 1 and Input 2.

Don't use for Input 2 "Same". Because it will double the signal from your guitar and may clip or add more distortion. So for Input 2 you should set "Aux" or "Variax"... something you won't use.

Another user had problems with Sonar and I've helped him. It may be that your volume is too high and it's clipping at Sonar. Would you please take a look at this post?
