Pod 2.0 actual fire problem

Hi,
I've used my POD 2.0 for about 10 years, not heavy use recently, though I still enjoy it. But I just switched my Pod 2.0 on as normal (I use the 9v adaptor connected to UK mains supply) and small flames started coming out of the back. I unplugged, and the flames quickly died out, with a bit of black smoke. Any idea as to what might have caused it and any advice what to do next would be very welcome.
Best wishes
Badrannon
Did the flames come out of the POD 2.0 or out of the power supply?
Out of the Pod, from the power in and possibly midi in points. I cant see any obvious external fire damage, the flames weren't big. I cut the supply as soon as they appeared.
Difficult to tell with an older device. Don't plug it in or turn it on. I have notified Line 6 back-end support, and you should be hearing something from them shortly.
Many thanks for passing me on to support so quickly and thanks for the advice.

Q: What is a support ticket?
A: A support ticket allows you to directly correspond with a Line 6 Support Representative. An email will be sent to you from Line 6 containing a link to the ticket when a Line 6 Support Representative responds to it. Please follow the link in the email to view your open ticket to work one on one with Line 6 Support. Also, in your account, click My Account, then click Support Tickets to view the support ticket. Here’s a shortcut: http://line6.com/account/tickets/view/.
Please note: Sometimes support tickets will be filtered to spam and junk folders. If you did not receive an email from us indicating that a ticket has been created, please make sure to check those folders in your email host, and also that your email account is receiving messages at all.
Hmmm, it's been quite some time now and I never was contacted by the UK office. I had a support ticket which had a query to me on it. I answered the query and the ticket was then closed a couple of days later. I assumed that I'd be contacted - did I misunderstand the process? Was I supposed to call someone?
Hi. I'm sure the ticket was closed by mistake. I will re-open it and inform the UK office that you have not been contacted yet.
Thanks. I've been contacted by the UK office now.
