Equipment required for recording on a Line 6 POD 2.0

Hi everyone, I recently bought a POD 2.0 and I'm really keen on starting to record material on it, I've figured out all the effects on it so I'm okay with that.
The only thing stopping me from recording is the equipment/gear required to do it. I'm only new to the whole recording thing so I need some tips and advice so I know what I'm actually doing. And some tips/advice on how to record material would be nice (lol)...
Also, I have a cable that has two 1/4 jacks and two other jacks I have never seen before (picture attached), so if there is a specific name for it, what it's for and what to do with it, I'd be more than grateful ![]()
Thanks ![]()
Hi,
That is a TS (Tip Sleeve) 1/4 inch to phono paired cable. It should work well with the 2.0. Next you need an audio interface that has the proper connections and software. Different manufactures make different interfaces ours are listed under products>recording at the top of the page.

Basically, a recording interface is a high quality soundcard that has professional ins and outs and can be used with recording software.
My advice would be to do a little research and find one that's in your budget. Here is a great place to start:

I would also suggest a nice set of heaphones or studio monitors:
