I bought a Pod hd 500 about 4 to 5 months ago and i had no problems with my pod until i had to travel and i put it in my checked luggage traveling from florida to mexico city and as soon as i get there and wanted to start to rehearse some stuff and my pod wasnt working everything turns on the menus are fine all lights work tuner works but my out put isnt and i tried headphones as well as each individual output source available and the most i could get is a very low sound at max gain with the signal lifted and only then could i hear my self but very lightly so i have no clue what could've caused this or how to fix i will try to reset the pod to see if its a software issue or something but i have no ideas to fix it please help thanks.
it's just the usual things to try. you may need a PC for some of this though.
are there any signs of any physical damage from the trip? that could indicate there's any damage to the POD that could be causing the issues? Is not here's some other ideas:
try using one of the other inputs... e.g. if youre' using the guitar input, try the aux input (you will need to select the different input, hold the view button and scroll down a few pages to the input section). Also try using a different output if you can. try both left and right outputs for example if you can only use the unbalanced outs. check in another page in that settings menu that you're using the right output mode (studio, stack front/poweramp, combo poweramp/front). also check the switches on the POD like pad, line/amp (that may weaken the signal if you are into a line source but have it set to amp).
try reinstalling the flash memory. (remember to reset your global parameters and calibrate your expression pedal afterwards. search this forum for the guide on resetting globals)
try reloading your presets from a backup bundle
let us know how you get on.
