Line 6 frequently restarts after fail firmware update

I wanted to update the firmware on my new POD HD PRO. After pressing the UPDATE Button in Line6 Monkey, i got an error message. After trying this for a couple of times, i shut down my POD HD PRO, which still said "Firmware update" (or something like this).

Now, my POD restarts every 5 seconds or so. I cant connect it to my Mac because of the frequently restarting Line6 Monkey dont find it. I read an older thread about this: http://line6.com/support/thread/77038, but this doesnt help and i am sure i did the global reset correct, because i get the preset 1A: Son of Plexi after this (even if i was on another preset when i shut it down manually).

How do i get my POD HD to work again?

Hi w1ng_at,

Today I faced the same problem in one hour after buying POD HD.

Try powering the unit on while holding the down arrow. The unit should display the "UPDATE FLASH" message.
Then connect the device to your computer and reinstall the flash memory. In general, it should help. But...

If after the step above you get the same problem again (as I did).
Switch the unit to "UPDATE FLASH" mode as it was described above. Reistall the flash memory to a previous firmware version by "Rollback" button in Line 6 Monkey. (In my case it is 1.33). After the device is successfully upgraded, try to upgrade it to the latest version again. (In my case it is 1.40).

I was able to repair my device. I hope my instructions will help you as well.

Hi,

Try this: Hold the DOWN directional arrow on the D-Pad when powering the HD Pro on. The Screen should read UPDATE FLASH. Now connect the HD Pro to your computer and reinstall the flash memory. If you are getting error messages the USB port on your computer is likely under powered. try different USB ports and cables and make sure you are not using a USB hub.

  Still having problems... Doesn't matter what version I try rollback to it just crashes while trying to reinstall it.
  
  I'm on Mac OS X plugging directly in. I have a W7 PC also and it won't even detect the device.

    I even just tried a dual USB cable (came with my babyface device and is supposed to supply more power to a device). Same problem.
