POD HD400 volume too loud for recording

Hi everyone,
The recorded sound is too loud while recording via USB. I have the latest Drivers installed (Version 4.2.5.1) on my computer. It says Driver 4.2.5.1 adds gain control for USB audio. We can now control the levels sent from your POD HD to your recording application using Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices control panel.
I can't find the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices inside the Control Panel. Please help me with this and sort the loud volume problem.

To quote another forum user: Birro ....
1 - Control Panel -> Hardware and Sounds -> Sound
2 - Recording -> Digital audio interface (must be Line 6 POD HD) -> Double click
3 - There are four Tabs, click on 'Levels' (the last one)
4 - Reduce the Level to around 75 / 80 or less... only to cut the clipping... then you raise it until you get the limit before clipping
More details in the thread here ...
Hi jim,
The new driver actually has a +18dB gain checkbox. I deactivated that checkbox and it's fine now even with full level slider.
Thanks for your response.
