yes one is the MKII as noted by other poster... it has a usb connection and an extra footswitch.

some prefer the older one because of the bigger screen (and they might prefer the green backlighting)

i prefer the newer one, because the USB functions if your amp supports it... and that extra footswitch is useful as well...

for instance the new pod HD's the extra footswitch will turn the looper on....
