Weeks ago I bought a Pod Hd Pro and I was working hard to connect it correctly with my amplifier.
I have a Mesa Boogie Mark V, so, I'm gonna use ONLY the EFECTS from Pod Hd Pro , and I decide to put it on FX Loops of the amplifier.
This is the Mesa Boogie Mark V Loop connections.
So, Wich connections do you think I should use to a correctly and get the best sound to my Pod Hd??
I mean, how to connect the hd pro on the loops efects of the Mark V, I don't think I gonna need the 4 connection cables 'cos I'm gonna only use the effects.
Thanks and excuse my english, My native language is spanish!!
You will need four connection cables if you want to put effects between your guitar and the input on the front of your Mark V (wah, distortion, overdrive) as well as put them in the Mark V's effects loop (delay, reverb, modulation).
Have a look at this post by me from a while back, hopefully it will answer your other questions:

Here's a very useful guide on 4CM:
+1 to gregr,
If you want to use the 4 Cable Method those documents should explain the process. This method would be best if you want to use the Mesa's preamp distortion with the HD500.
Thanks,
David
