Guy's
What is everyone doing about the high e slipping at times off the fretboard I currently have reg .10's on the Variax and I have as of late been doing alot of Nashville
stuff and that High E is just slipping in fact its a driving me a nutzoid.. I took a look at the Nut and it almost look's as if it could be moved just a tad but those Fret's with the quick slope
I just don't know if a Nut replacement will do any good... What to do any suggestion would greatly be appreciated.. I am so frustrated I have had the JT 69 for month's and every time I pick her up
there she goes right off... arggg
Thanks in Advance
Good question. I've had to learn to play differently... cleaner. I still get some but not nearly as much. I think my answer eventually will be getting a new neck. Maybe a Warmoth. I've never had a problem with anything else. Love the trem and tuners. Nut too seems fine with me but when I start playing sloppy I start slipping off the neck..... both side too.
Let me know about those Warmoth necks for my 69..... anyone?
I had this issue at the start, but my nut was actually loose from the factory. Had it re-glued slightly towards the bass side of the fretboard which helped a bit.
After reading all the threads about this I took Rich Renken's advice and re-aligned the neck a teeny bit (back off the screws slightly , then gently pull neck toward the upper bout, and re-tighten) and it resulted in lots of room for the high e.

Now the low E is close to the cliff, but I dont bend that up too much!!
Cheers.
Check out the thread called 'Earvana on a JTV'59'. The one they put on my guitar is just fractionally narrower than the Line6 original, and does make a difference.
Oh, and the intonation is much improved too.
Line 6 has adressed this issue.. what you should do is open a ticket with Line 6 and they will assess your guitar and maybe replace the neck.. simple yes you can indeed ajust the neck however this is not really a micro tilt neck so you are making a tradeoff as one has said they do not bend the 6th string well I dont bend it away twoarn the fret's on the neck but I do indeed do full chordal bends like Johny Hiland I have no probs now Line 6 took care of my issue and Rich was great to work it.. so if I was you Create a suport ticket and just message Rich and he will take care of ya..
