Are the old drivers deleted when you use Line 6 Monkey to update?

I was wondering if it was possible to delete the old drivers after updating or if Line 6 monkey did it for you.  Is there a reason to keep the old stuff installed, for instance, do you need the old drivers to run the new stuff?

No, the latest drivers should always replace the existing ones.   There is no requirements for a generational history.  Monkey automatically removes the older ones (AFAIK!).  Certainly, I see only one set of drivers installed for my HD500.

There are different drivers for different Line 6 Products but you should only ever have the latest for each product.

Older drivers are available for download, in case someone runs into a glitch that can be addressed by downloading the older drivers ... or someone has archaic firmware on their Pod and can't upgrade for some reason.

    +1 to jimsreynolds,

Monkey should remove any previous drivers before installing the latest versions. There is no reason to keep older drivers on your system. You should perodically check Monkey and make sure everything is up to date.

    Thanks,

    David
