HI

Before I switched to the HD500 I had used a Boss GT-8 and a few pedals for many years. As my first HD500 died after 10 minutes of use I kept using the GT8 for a few eeks until the next shipment came in to replace the faulty unit. It sounded fantastic. I have really struggled to get anything sounding as good with the HD500.

The Anderton's demmo of DT25 and Line 6 sounds fantastic so I know it can be done...just not sure of what I am missing?

If anyone can help me with

Setting the inputs. If I am only using a regular guitar do I need to worry about input 2?

adjusting the mixer

tips on setting the FX loop - I have put my Hotcake and Satchurator pedals in there and they just sound nasty. Is there an optimum setting there for send or return levels? The Hotcake sounded fantastic with Voicing 2 ( the PARK P75 I believe)  when that was patched in through my BOSS GT8 and I so want to be able to get that tone again!

Any other tips would be really appreciated
