I purchased a Pod Farm 2.5 Platinum license and recently switched computers. Pod Farm 2.5 standalone and Pro Tools 9 plug-in will not recognize my ilok license and only gives me standard functionality. I have uninstalled Pod Farm and reloaded several times with no success. In need my tones and models please help!! Any solution ideas for the this issue? Thanks in advance.

I do not have an answer for the plug-in, but just for the record, POD Farm standalone does not work in conjunction with the POD Farm iLok liicense.
Thanks for heads up. How do I get the standalone and plug-in to detect my platinum license I guess would be a better question. Thanks in advance.
Looks like I have FX Junkie but none of my model packs. Any suggestions?
i-Lok does not support the standalone version of POD Farm.
Do you have the license for i-Lok or a Line6 Hardwae device?
btw, UX2 comes with the FX Junkie.
I'm guessing by your tags you have a UX2.
Sounds like you have hardware vs i-Lok licensing confoundment.
If you purchased a POD Farm 2.5 Platinum License for i-Lok, un-plug you UX2 to gain access to all the models as plug-ins.
Hardware license and i-Lok license are totally separate.
It just usual that on the old computer I had platinum for stand alone and plug in and now I am missing all my model packs on the new computer. Without the UX2 I cannot record guitar or bass in Pro Tools.
Have I set up the UX2 wrong or will I need to buy a hardware license as well? What do you suggest for getting access to my platinum license?
If you had Platinum Standalone running before then you must have the Hardware License and should still have it.
Do you have the latest drivers and Monkey?
Did you run the Line6 License Manager to authorize your UX2 and computer?
Yes, I have ran the license manager and the drivers are up to date according to Line 6 Monkey. The license manager lists my add ons as FX Junkie, Pod Farm 1 & 2.
i can see the problem right under your name...
your current account was created Jan 29 2012...
you probably have an older account that you need to find (that account has your license!!!)
you should deauthorize the ux2 on your new account...
log into your older account and authorize it.
I only have one account that I have used aand it show my UX2 as authorized and the purchase of my 2.5 platinum license when I click on my account.
I really appreciate the help. Hopefully we can get this worked out.
so you bought the thing less than a month ago and are already changing computers?
Yeah, upgraded to a faster computer with a 1TB hard drive.
Just for kicks, try removing your i-Lok and see if there is any difference in behavior.
no noticable difference. However, Pro Tools 9 starts up so the ilok is working.
OK I've tried to give it a few days to work it out on my own. But for some reason my Farm 2.5 plug in is not recognizing my ilok license in Pro Tools. Not sure how I can correct this but any further suggestion are welcome. Thanks for all your help.
i think the real problem, is that you can't use model packs at all with an ilok... never could... its either standard or platinum....
I have a platnium ilok license so I should not need model packs, right? I thought platnium license gave me access to all amps and cabs. Is this not true? Becasue I still have equipment that is shaded out.
true that! i guess i missed the part about it being platinum.
you might try uninstalling all of pod farm, when you install it back you will get an option to use either the ilok or line6 hardware for authentication, perhaps only selecting the ilok option will direct the authentication to the right device...
i know having more than one authenticated device has always been a problem.... what i don't know with any certainty is how to get around that.
the answer might be a different interface... (meaning going to one authorize-able device)
or sadly buying platinum (or remaining model packs) for your UX2 device as well... (meaning have the same license level on ilok as ux2 and vice versa)
neither of which is appealing due to the cost....
perhaps the official support can give you an idea how to force the authorizing device... or maybe duplicate your licenses for you....
of course that last part is not common or guaranteed... but perhaps something they might make an exception on... won't hurt to ask anyway.
Great suggestions! Thanks for the help.
After reviewing your Line 6 User Account, it appears as though you have POD Farm 1 platinum iLOK license and POD Farm 2.5 platinum trial license that has since expired deposited to your iLOK account. There is not a POD Farm 2.5 platinum license deposited onto your iLOK.
In addition you have POD Studio UX2 that has both a POD Farm 1 and POD Farm 2 license factory installed into it. You recently added on the Collector Classics, FX Junkie, Metal Shop, and Power Pack model pack to it as well. Which as TheRealZap mentioned above will more or less turn your standard POD Farm 2 license that came with the POD Studio UX2 into a platinum license(minus the Bass Expansion pack). You now should be able to use your UX2 with POD Farm 2 and your model packs within Pro Tools.
Yes that seems to be the issue. I was under the impression that I had a 2.5 platinum license. Not too happy that I bought a Farm 1 platinum license and then had to upgrade to the model packs.Great product just confusing packaging.
