Pod HD Desktop bean: balanced or unbalanced.

This web site's Pod HD desktop "ins and outs" page describes the L/R 1/4" outs as being balanced outs. The downloadable Handbook and FAQ section says they're unbalanced. Which is it?

Don't have the unit yet, so I'm wondering.
