Make sure you are using the most recent drivers for your OS.

After installing the drive (do not plug in your GX until promoted) run the Monkey to get all your updates.
Then run the Line6 License Manager to authorize your GX.

btw, POD Farm 1.12 replaces GearBox (free upgrade) with the exception of the GuitarPort online subscription.

  Thanks, got hold of the 800 number, downloaded the monkey...then upgraded the drivers as recommended, download the online GearBox,
  then got tricky and had to skip up dating drivers since I had uploaded the new ones until I had the all green check marks, the finsihed the installation and viola! There we went, and it sounds good. Thanks, AMANDA
