M5 flashing display... Flash update mode

Hello all. My M5 recently acting up. The display flashes between a blank screen and short, dim green flash from the edges of the screen. Sometimes it sounds like a relay inside the box is clicking on & off. If I hold down the ON/OFF switch, I can get it into "Flash update mode - waiting command". Other threads on this gave me 2 things to try: Update the flash memory or try another power supply. I went out and bought a midi interface and Updated the Flash memory. No go. I tried another power supply...one rated at 600 mils. No go. This is an ittermitant issue, but 90% of the time it is dead in the water. Today is day 90 of owning this unit. I've spent the last 3 days troubleshooting and searching for info on my own. I know it has a one year warranty, but I'd like to know this thing is good and solid before the year is up.
The warranty card says to "log an incident online..." yet I cannot find a page to do so. I can see that I have no open service tickets, yet no place to create a service ticket. There is a local service center in the area....can I just take my unit to them for warranty repair without contacting line 6 or do I have to jump through the hoops before I can obtain service.
Any advice or help is greatly welcomed. Thanks.
Make a copy of your new product purchase receipt (for Warranty Claim purposes) and if you live near an Authorized Service Center (ASC) of ours, give them a call and get your unit plus the receipt to them: http://line6.com/service_centers/
Otherwise, if there isn't an ASC by you, give us a call at: 818-575-3600 (Press 3, then Press 3 and then 2 for an RMA). Our office hours are 8AM-5PM (PST, Monday-Fridays).
