HD Edit : Few Issue with 1.08 ...

Hello guys !
I had a weird issue with latest version of HD Edit, as my customized presets were no more useable with this version 1.08 (Error about errors within patch).
A rollback to 1.06 version seem's to solve the problem ... can we expect a new version with few corrections ?
Another point would be the boring way to import HD500 patchs on HD Desktop ... why are patch extensions different ?
As the Pod Desktop Custom Tone library is very poor in comparison to HD500 one, it's very frustrating to struggle with file extensions and error messages to get interesting tones !
Regards,
Victor
The latest version of EDIT fixed a critical bug that would cause high volume events and a program crash. Those happened because patches would get corrupted, and part of the new EDIT fix was designed to identify corrupted patches before everything crashed.
I would suggest, while you are using EDIT 1.06, that you write down the parameters of your patches and recreate them in 1.8.
I'm not sure why the file extensions are different between the 2 units (I imagine it has something to do with expression pedal assignment, hardware differences, etc), but as long as each patch for the HD bean is doable for the HD500, just manually change the extension. Rumor has it, this works pretty well.
You don't really need to change the file extension. You can drag/drop an HD500 tone file from your computer folder into any preset slot in HD Edit (and vice-versa among all three dual-path HD devices - the 500. Bean, and Pro). You will still need to adjust the Inputs.
Hello, sadly the drag and drop is not working anymore, even with 1.06 version (pointer change into red signal). The only way to use patch is to make 'File>Open>File.h5e'.
With 1.08 version no h5e file extension is useable at all (Error : Invalid Data Found In One Or More Patches ...), I can only use hbe file extension (only 97 tones on Custom Tone !).
Now, none of my setlist (Glenn Delaume, Andy Z ....) are working. Geeez.
Is there any plan from Line 6 to solve this issue ? Hope they don't plan to leave HD Desktop users without any benefits from the growing HD 500 community, especially knowing that hardware is rawly the same !
Any solutions yet to the request above?
Sadly no ... the only way to solve the issue is to rollback Hd Edit to V1.06 !
Hope the new 2.0 firmware and the associated Hd Edit version will solve the problem ...
+1
Whats that for you ask
We are so quick to do +1 to politically correct answers around here, I thought Id do the same for you Warfare just to make you feel a bit better... ![]()
Ok, bad joke but still.....
Even though it wont help fix your issue at this time, here is more hope for "many things" to be fixed in the 2.0 firmware patch....
Anyone got another "+1" for that???

Hey, anyway thank you ![]()
Here is a thread where the compatibility issue is more answered by Line 6 :

If your ears had been subjected to the noise that this bug fixed, you'd be singing a different tune. They are working on it.
