OK. So I'm playing around with differnt speaker settings and updating all the drivers and software and stuff right ... now I get this F%&#ed up echo about 10 seconds after I plug the PODxt into the USB. It sounds ok for a bit and then BAM! echo. Like a really bad delay setting. And no, it's not a delay setting. This sounds like BALLS!!!

OK, fixed the echo by disabling the PODxt as an input devide.
Also downloaded Gearbox ... nice! Heaps better than the old L6 Edit program.
BUT ... now my Metal Pck has disappeared. I used to have it, but now I guess because I'm using a L6 account which this PODxt isn't registered to, it's killed it. Nooooo....!!!!
HELP!!! How do I get my Metal Pck back?!?!
... BTW ... I still get BSOD so I've just decided to leave the PODxt on all the time. Yay!

is completely normal getting a blue screen if you turn off your XT while it is plugged to your PC, specially if the software you're using with it is still open
please close the software and unplug the USB cable first
to locate your former account, I've created a support ticket for you so we can resolve this issue. Please respond to the ticket. Thanks.
Q: What is a support ticket?
A: A support ticket allows you to directly correspond with a Line 6 Support Representative. An email will be sent to you from Line 6 containing a link to the ticket when a Line 6 Support Representative responds to it. Please follow the link in the email to view your open ticket to work one on one with Line 6 Support. Also, in your account, click My Account, then click Support Tickets to view the support ticket. Here’s a shortcut: http://line6.com/account/tickets/view/.
Please note: Sometimes support ticket notifications will be filtered to spam and junk folders. If you did not receive an email from us indicating that a ticket has been created, please make sure to check those folders in your email host, and also that your email account is receiving messages at all. You may also consider adding Line 6 to your safe senders list.

Thanks. Couple of things ...
Support ticket got my gear registered which is nice. Except the only reason I cared is because I had purchased the power pack years ago and since logging in with my new account, it had disappeared. I assumed getting my product re-registered with my new account would have transferred my pack purchase as well. This does not seem to be the case.
Can you please re-open or open a new ticket to find and transfer my power pack purchase and associate it with my PodXT as was previously the case.
Secondly, when is Line 6 going to fix the bluescreen thing? I don't ONLY get the blue screens when turning it on/off while it's plugged in - it happens at random times. I fear plugging it into my PC these days for this reason. It generally happens when in use though, as in having gearbox open tweaking tone or licence manager etc. It has happened 3 times just tonight trying to see if I could get my metal amp pack back again swapping between monkey and licence manager.
Getting blue screens should never be referred to as "normal".

please note, the PowerPack is actually equivalent to your XT's firmware, so no need activating anything: http://line6.com/modelPacks/power.html
I repeat: you should unplug the XT before turning it off, this is no bug, but normal Windows behaviour, specially if any software used together is still open, as you've mentioned
the MetalShop Pack was purchased by the former owner of your XT (user 'rogerw'), so you need contacting him so he can transfer his purchased License to your account: see http://line6.com/account/licenses/instructions/ under "License Transfers"

But I AM "rogerw"!
That's my old account that I lost the password for and couldn't get back into ... hence transferring my Pod registration to this account. If I can't get into my old account, how am I supposed to transfer the license to my new account?
And my blue screen issues aren't only when turning the PodXT off. I understand you want to defend the software, but when it crashes my computer in the middle of playing a song, that is not normal Windows behaviour. Anyway, I don't care ... just as long as I get my metal pack back. Please advise how I can transfer my previous purchase to my new account (or get back into my old account).

you need logging in License Manager using that account then, or transfer the License from it to your actual account: all this is explained in the License Manager instructions I pointed above
if you lost your password and the email in the account is still valid, you can create a new one using the facility in http://line6.com/account/forgot.html
when you request a new password, the system sends you a link directed to a page to choose a new one: simply enter the same new password on both 2 fields
I agree with you, sorry I missed the bit of you getting BSOD also just playing back audio: please try on a different PC to check if your XTL is the cause

I don't have access to the old email account. That was my main problem. When I used the forgot password functionality, I didn't realise it was going to give me a new random password via email (I only found THAT out by using that functionality on this account as well). So now I have a completely random password on an account I can't get my email from.
Is there another way I can get back into it? My original registration details will be stored in a database somewhere and I'll be able to tell you a bunch of different places I lived at around the time I got the PodXT that could be on the details. My name will be the same, my mobile phone number will be the same ... all of that will match.
