POD HD Desktop BSOD problem! Please help!

Hey guys.
I am wondering if someone knows how to fix a problem im having.
When I was done downloading all the drivers etc. for the POD HD through Line6 Monkey, and installing them as the instruction told me to, I proceeded to play on it, and it worked fine.
However when I turned the POD off, it gave my computer a instant BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).
I'm not sure what exactly does the BSOD, but I know it is not my computer hardware. (This only happens when I turn off the POD)
I'd love if someone would point out what the problem is, so it can be fixed!
Thank you in advance!
P.S
I'm running MS Windows Home Premium 7 64-bit SP 1
RAM = 6GB
Processor = 4 Core @ 3.08 GHz
if you need any further information, please ask :-)
The same thing happens to me with Windows XP Pro everytime I unplug my POD HD500 to turn it off. I tried every USB on the front and back of my computer and they all give the instant BSOD when unplugging to turn the POD off.
Two things
Does your PC have an AMD processor(s)? If so, there is sometimes a specific driver in there that can sometimes cause BSODs with PODs. I think it may be a Windows 7 thing in the link here but it may be worth a try on XP also. ==> http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2215
Also, try 'ejecting' the HD before you turn it off. See the link here ==> http://line6.com/support/message/356819#356819
Do you get the same BSOD when unplugging the POD prior to powering down? Just curious if there is a difference there...
I seem to have figured it out (actually found a way around it)
If i go to my recording units settings and disconect the POD HD and then after switch off the power to the POD i don't get a BSOD.

That's kinda old school XP chipset approach to USB...technically, it is safer to do that but strange that you get that on Win 7...
Sometimes the hardware interupt isn't fast enough to catch the disconnect (snatching the cable out)...But that depends on a lot of factors...but mostly the actual chipset that hosts the USB controller (chipet drivers) on your MB and how they interact with Windows...
I would suggest you check and see if there is an updated chipset driver and/or BIOS update for your particular computer...good to know you found some relief...
Stay in the mix and in the know.
