the use of podfarm live on stage - switching the presets

If I understand correctly, there is no general problem to use Pod Farm under certain DAW onstage live. But I would appreciate if somebody might tell me could in such a case the Pod Farm presets be promptly switched, like it is on the hardware processor. Are there any rules of storing presets to let that idea work, any limits on the number of the presets to be switched that way?

The presets can be switched using a FBV MKII controller. For more information on how to do so check out the following video tutorials that outline and illustrate the process:

  Thanks for your reply.
  Sometimes my English does not allow me to ask my questions correctly. I did not mean to get the advise "which equipment to use to switch the POD Farm Plug In presets", as I do not intend to switch the presets by means of any stomp device, instead I like to switch the presets by means of DAW, under which the POD Farm Plug In is going to be used. My concern is exactly the speed of the switching of the Plug In's presets, so I was willing to get an advise if I have to organise my presets in any special manner to switch them in the RAM instead of loading from HDD, what is definitely much slower and hardlyto suit to the requirements of the live use.

  Also I like to ask any advice how to use iLok instead my Guitar Port - where to buy it, how to install (connect to my licinse), etc.

    1. You can automate your DAW to switch the presets of POD Farm 2.51 using the instructions available in the POD Farm 2 Record Guide pages 3.10 - 3.16 available at the link below:

    The speed of the switching presets is going to be dependent on your computers processing power.

      Speed of the Presets switching
      My computer is 2011 Mac Book Pro 2.4 GHz Quad Core 8 Gb RAM 5400 HDD - any particular advice related the way the presets to be organized?
      
      iLok
      Should it be exactly iLok (or iLok 2) or could be HASP as well ?

        The only advice I could give would be to organize them in such a way that it makes sense to you.
        
        It is only compatible with the PACE iLOK 1 or 2.

        Thanks for your comments and sorry for delay in responding. Last question (I hope) related to the iLok+Line6 issue.
        How it will work together ?
        I presume the following to happen :
        - I get iLok,
        - I connect both iLok and GuitarPort to the computer,
        - Line6 via Internet will recognize my iLok as the one I like to use with my Line 6 softs and authorize/register iLok code(number, etc) in my Line6 profile,
        - after it is done I DOT USE GUITAR PORT ANYLONGER AND DO NOT NEED INTERNET TO WORK WITH MY LINE 6 SOFTS, JUST ILOK.
        
        Am I right?

        You are right, except for the fact that you will not need to connect the GuitarPort to the computer as you mentioned in step #2.
        
        After you purchase the iLOK license, use the instructions available at the link below to deposit it into your iLOK key:

        Insert the key into the USB port before launching an instance of POD Farm, launch POD Farm, and the iLOK key will authorize the use of it.

I think you can automate POD Farm parameters from MIDI sent form a sequencer or DAW. I kwno for sure this can be done with the plug-in version, I have never tried it with the Stand-Alone. But your playing will have to be syched to the timing in your sequence or DAW.

i-Lok has nothing to do with Line6 Hardware. You would need to purchase a POD Farm i-Loke license, and i-Lok does not run as a Stand Alone, it only works as a plug-in within a compatible DAW.
