HD 400 Edit problem:

I'm trying to access the online edit program, but it doesn't recognise my device. I have the "no line 6 device connected" message at the bottom of the screen, and it is in fact plugged in and connected to the usb port. I turned it on and off, logged out and back in etc., and still the same.
Have you downloaded and installed Line 6 Monkey and the device driver?
Yes. I installed every available update also. I downloaded the driver multiple times in fact.
I got that to work finally. Now I have latency issues when channel switching..
There is some latency in channel switching when you are running the HD Editor; this is normal behaviour. However, there should be no noticeable latency when using the HD400 device without the Edit program running.
The reason there is latency with the Edit program running is that your computer memory (the Edit program) and the HD400 device memory are trying to stay in sync - the two devices have to communicate with each other and transfer data so that both of these memory buffers contain the new patch information, and the extra time requirement, while just a few milliseconds, is noticeable.
+1 Silverhead. Try unplugging the USB cable from the laptop and then do the switching using the POD. Any better?
Stay in the mix and in the know.
