power cord question

I'm having trouble with my spyder iv 75, and it's got something to do with the power cord. If you move the amp even slightly, it might loose all power. If you just touch the power chord where it plugs int the amp. it may loose power, or come back on. The female part of the connection is solidly in place, with no movement.  when you plug in the male connector, you may or may not get power, but if you wiggle the cord around you'll eventually find a sweet spot and power comes on Therefore, i suspect its the power chord. My question is, where can i buy a new power cord?

if you have another PC type power cord or a monitor cord that will work.. same type of plugin.

    +1 to Jimmikat,

Any 3 pronged IEC type power cable will do. They are common on audio eqipment and PC devices.

    Thanks,

    David

I didn't see this topic and just posted about the same with my 150 amp.  I tried 2 other cords and the same problem happens.  I'm not sure what to do.

      Re: power cord question

i have seen your post and read your comments, sounds like you have a bad solder or lose connection on your amps plug.

i seen your getting a new one ordered, so at least you should be not having this issue any longer once you get the new one.

like you said, test it at the store before you take it home..i'm sure your old amp could have been fixed very cheaply.
