Hey guys,
I just got Pro Tools 10 and I'm wondering if I can use my HD500 as an interface straight into Pro Tools (and if so, how?) or do I need to buy an Mbox or something else and run the pod into that first?
Thanks,
Sean
I don't have protools, but I have googled for you.
Here is a link for the manual of protool9 which also should fit for v10 : http://akmedia.digidesign.com/support/docs/Whats_New_in_Pro_Tools_v90_69545.pdf
On paper page 6 (not pdf-reader page 6), chapter "asio support" on the right side you can see that you can choose any asio driver in windows or mac (also 3rd party), The Pod has got asio drivers, so it should work.
It seems you do not have any hardware yet for protools, just bought the software.
I personally would go over a protools audio interface to get better functionality, connecting the POD over SPDIF digtial i/o since the pod usb audio feature is just a nice side effect.
However, as a first step you can go that way.

Looks like 10 does, but 9 does not
