Grounding

I have a SpiderValve MkII 212.  At band practice, I get shocked by the microphone (unless I plug into one specific outlet in the room), but only when I'm holding my guitar.  I thought that it might just be crappy wiring in the building, but it doesn't happen to anyone else in my band when they use the same outlets as me.  It also happened to me at a show I played a couple days ago, which was really irritating.  What do you think the problem is?  The power cord from the amp to the wall?  Would flicking the "ground" switch over to "lift" do anything?
