Need Help! Various issues

1. I cannot remember the username/password/email address I registered my PODxt under. Therefore I can't get any of the cool updates from Monkey. Can I somehow get that back or re-register my PODxt under this account?

2. I'm running Windows 7 32 Bit and whenever I turn my PODxt off, I get a BSOD (blue screen of death). I've read a lot of people having problems with this issue with no real resolution as far as I could tell. I'm pretty sure I have the latest drivers and I don't have any other Line6 stuff installed other than Monkey. It's always plugged in via USB. I turn it on, it's ok, automagically is used for my soundcard which is ok because I play through headphones along with tunes I play through MediaMonkey. Then when I'm done, I turn the PODxt off and it kills my computer. Every time. I don't get it. Is there a fix yet?

Thanks,

Roger

    hello

is completely normal getting a blue screen if you turn off your XT while it is plugged to your PC, specially if the software you're using with it is still open

please close the software and unplug the USB cable first

to locate your former account, I've created a support ticket for you so we can resolve this issue. Please respond to the ticket. Thanks.

Q: What is a support ticket?

A: A support ticket allows you to directly correspond with a Line 6 Support Representative. An email will be sent to you from Line 6 containing a link to the ticket when a Line 6 Support Representative responds to it. Please follow the link in the email to view your open ticket to work one on one with Line 6 Support. Also, in your account, click My Account, then click Support Tickets to view the support ticket. Here’s a shortcut: http://line6.com/account/tickets/view/.

Please note: Sometimes support ticket notifications will be filtered to spam and junk folders. If you did not receive an email from us indicating that a ticket has been created, please make sure to check those folders in your email host, and also that your email account is receiving messages at all. You may also consider adding Line 6 to your safe senders list.

    hello

please note, the PowerPack is actually equivalent to your XT's firmware, so no need activating anything: http://line6.com/modelPacks/power.html

I repeat: you should unplug the XT before turning it off, this is no bug, but normal Windows behaviour, specially if any software used together is still open, as you've mentioned

the MetalShop Pack was purchased by the former owner of your XT (user 'rogerw'), so you need contacting him so he can transfer his purchased License to your account: see http://line6.com/account/licenses/instructions/ under "License Transfers"

you need logging in License Manager using that account then, or transfer the License from it to your actual account: all this is explained in the License Manager instructions I pointed above

if you lost your password and the email in the account is still valid, you can create a new one using the facility in http://line6.com/account/forgot.html

when you request a new password, the system sends you a link directed to a page to choose a new one: simply enter the same new password on both 2 fields

I agree with you, sorry I missed the bit of you getting BSOD also just playing back audio: please try on a different PC to check if your XTL is the cause
