UX1 Only Outputs Static and Extremely Low Volume Audio

Hello,

I bought my UX1 this past thanksgiving, and for the most part its worked without issues. I've used it to successfully play with PodFarm, record, ect.

Today however, when I decided to use PodFarm, I noticed that no audio was being outputted, except for some very soft static. I experimented and found out that audio from iTunes and youtube could be outputted from the UX1, but only when the output knob was cranked all the way up, and also the volume slider within windows was also cranked up. Even so, all I could make out was the audio being very softly played, almost inaudible, with some soft static. In addition, when i plug my guitar into the UX1, there is no sound being transferred whatsoever. Which is odd because the level monitors within podfarm were constantly peaking at about 75%, without much audio at all being outputted. This was happening when both my guitar was plugged in or unplugged, so it could not be the guitars fault.

So i scoured these forums and looked for common answers. I uninstalled the drivers, podfarm, monkey, reinstalled all of them. I even attempted to try the UX1 on another computer, to find out that the exact problem is happening: only a soft static being outputted, with the audio only being slightly audible when all the internal and external volume knobs are cranked.

For reference, I've encountered this problem on a Dell XPS and Lenovo T520. I'm also aware on how to set the the primary sound driver to the UX1, along with making sure the sample rates coincide.

Please, if anyone has any advice, its greatly appreciated. I'm at college, so the option of returning/exchanging it at retail store I've bought it at is not an option currently.

Based on the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far, unfortunately it seems as though there is problem with the hardware of the UX1.

If the master output knob seems to give you signal when it is all the way up or creates staic when you adjust, the problem could potentially be with the volume pot itself. Have you tried using a different output to see if it is related to the output jacks? If you are using headphone out, try the analog outputs to a amp or home stereo of some kind to see if the analog outputs give you any difference.

If you haven't already, make sure to also try multiple USB cables and all available USB ports on both computers to see if you receive any other results.

Let me know if you get any different results with the suggestions I prodived to you.
