EMG 81 or D-Activator pickup model?

I tried searching this forum for a thread about this but haven't found one, and don't feel like going through 500 threads one at a time, so I apologize if this is redundant, but...
Are there any plans and or ways to suggest new pickup models, like an EMG 81 or D-Activator bridge pickup? The pickups available are, shall we say, lacking for metal. And I know "it's a limitation of the piezo pickups" for a good palm-muting sound, but I'd really like to think Line 6 at least tried. I haven't upgraded the magnetic pickups yet but I don't know if I want to hassle with modifying the thing or what. It really is pretty disappointing to buy a shredder guitar with the promise of different tunings with the turn of a knob only to find out you have to emulate some other guitar that sounds like crap for metal.
I totally agree... I have never been able to get decent metal tone with the current pickup models even when trying to build hybrid using workbench. I guess this is much of a concern when getting the 89 and expect it to be a shredding guitar, but only have vintage guitar models, still the variax could be much more versatil by adding a few modern guitar model.
I guess the only thing we can do is log feature request, I think in the last 4-5 years I probably already log it a few times.
+1 to this! Although I can get some pretty cool metal tones using the more unlikely models (Tele is great, LP is a bit...muddy). But yeah some modern metal stuff would be great. Even if it's just like a couple of pickups and one or two body types.

Unless it's a surprise, there aren't going to be any NEW pickup or body models; only upgraded models for the 1.8 firmware update.
Also, please request this feature, and hopefully Line 6 will respond ![]()
