If you are confident that you have followed these instructions to the letter then I think you may have a faulty unit.
You could try two final things:
1) Firmware update to version 1.51 (using Monkey, reinstall if you already have that version loaded).
2) Global settings reset (http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2222)
Then try the recalibration. If all of that fails then I think you need to to make a warranty call (or contact a service centre for a chargable repair if you are out-of-warranty).
I hold down left arrow and the unit does not perform a global reset.
Just to confirm. You are
- Powering the Unit off
- Holding down the left Navpad button
- Powering the Unit up ?
The pod should automatically jump to Patch 1A on the first bank ... 'Son of Plexi'

Looks like the unit did perform the global reset correctly (thanks for spelling it out) but this had no effect on the problem.
Firmware was reloaded with Monkey 1.51 several times with all steps repeated:firmware reload, global reset and calibration to no effect. Parameter values still still sit dead at 0.
Are you saying I should have reinstalled Monkey? It seems to be working fine.
