Trouble connecting my HD 500 to Line 6 Monkey

Line 6 Monkey is unable to connect to my POD HD 500 despite the USB cable being correctly connected. Msg "There was an error communicating with your device. If it is a USB device, try disconnecting then reconnecting the USB cable" (which I have done several times). Any advice as to how to solve this? Thanks
Ok, There is definitely a bug with version 1.50 of Monkey communicating with PODs
Version 1.51 was released this week and apparently fixes communications on the HD300/400. It would be worth trying this first ...
Monkey 1.51 Windows:
http://line6.com/getrelease?rid=4618
Monkey 1.51 Mac:
http://line6.com/getrelease?rid=4619
If that fails, try the previous release which is known to be good
Monkey 1.43 Windows:
http://line6.com/getrelease?rid=4223
Monkey 1.43 Mac:
http://line6.com/getrelease?rid=4222
If that fails then try a safe mode upgrade:
Does this help?
Thanks. Tried installing 1.51 and 1.43 but no luck
I am trying the safe mode upgrade. I have held down the "down" key and powered up. How do I then install the flash update ? (can't do it from Line 6 Monkey)
Thanks
E
In Line 6 Monkey, the installed version of my Flash Memory is "Unknown" which might be the cause of my problem. Issue is how do I update the Flash. Screen on my POD says "UPDATE FLASH"
With version 1.43 installed, you put the POD into safe mode (as I described). The screen changes to UPDATE FLASH
Then you hook up the USB cable and run Monkey 1.43. All being well it should detect the pod and allow you to do the update.
If it does not: have a close look at the USB socket on the back of the POD. Does it look ok/intact? Some people have had problems with a dodgy USB input.
Do use 1.43 ... people with HD500s still seem to be having issues with version 1.51 from what I am seeing.
edouradpillot,
If you are still having these problems, can you please respond to jimreynolds' questions in his last post? This will help us understand that problem. Also, you should try on a different computer to verify if it is just happening on your system or all computers.

Hello. It has been at least 72 hours since we've heard from you. We're going to assume your question has been answered. If it has been answered, please award points to whoever was helpful and/or answered the question.
In the event your issue has not been resolved, I created a support ticket for you so we can continue to communicate. Please respond to the ticket. Thanks!!
Q: What is a support ticket?
A: A support ticket allows you to directly correspond with a Line 6 Support Representative. An email will be sent to you from Line 6 containing a link to the ticket when a Line 6 Support Representative responds to it. Please follow the link in the email to view your open ticket to work one on one with Line 6 Support. Also, in your account, click My Account, then click Support Tickets to view the support ticket. Here’s a shortcut: http://line6.com/account/tickets/view/.
Please note: Sometimes support tickets will be filtered to spam and junk folders. If you did not receive an email from us indicating that a ticket has been created, please make sure to check those folders in your email host, and also that your email account is receiving messages at all.
I also underwent the same problem but tried to do the above . After trying to connect to the device.. getting error as POD HD500 (Not Connected).
On any external hard drive connection we get a usb icon on the bottom right near the system time (which is not visible for the above) but getting the sound while connecting the usb,
Please could somebody help.
Kind Regards
Samuel Joshua
