IS THERE A WAY TO CONTACTING US CUSTOM SHOP
I WANT TO PURCHASE A MAPLE FRETBOARD NECK OPTION FOR MY JTV 69
I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PURHCASE ON ANY OTHER WAY SO IF ANYONE HAS INTEL ON THIS THAT WOULD BE GREAT
The one gripe I have about this JTV 69 has nothing to do with it as an instrument, THE BEST I'VE EVER OWNED ACTUALLY!
I just want to mod it and getting a hold of anyone who has any knowledge of this is extremely difficult. James Tyler factory didn't even want to speak with me for a minute to discuss the issue, rather they got me off quick like I asked for their first born!
Hopefully, I'll have some answers ![]()

just google us guitar necks ![]()
try these guys http://www.warmoth.com/default.aspx
I appreciate the feedback everyone!
I really want a JTV maple on maple, I know they make it cause I've seen it on YOUTUBE of course
I hope someone from L6 can get me a contact # for the custom shop...
Warmoth may be an option, thx...
you can always pick up a USA strat neck on ebay... and drop it in....
i'm with you on wanting the "real" neck....
but i suspect it would cost as much as a full korean JTV to get the USA JTV neck...
the necks are "high end" quartersawn on the USA models... just saying... you might do better returning the korean JTV and getting a USA one if thats what you want.... (ok... might cost a little more... but you'd end up with an overall better instrument)
thanks,
i'm defeated...i'm an 8th grade teacher, the usa jtv is about as realistic option as my pension when i retire...so viably, i'm srewed hahaha...hey at least i have jtv 69 right? great guitar, great build, superb modeling,
back to the shred (attempt)
I have to say I feel your pain on the maple neck thing. Actually, that's the reason I'm saving up my pennies for an American version (well that and other factors). But I wish they offered the Korean versions with a maple neck as an option. To me, it doesn't seem like it would be that big of a deal to do.
For a Korean JTV-69 I would seriously consider a Warmouth replacement neck as well. The quality would be at least as good as the original.
The answer to that is no you cannot contact the Custom shop they make the US JTV-69's ..If you want an alternate neck do as others suggested you warmoth or whatever ...:The custom shop has no dealing with the Korean JTV's...
Hopefully you have seen this post, but if not, here it is again. I would do this also.
"I put one of the Stewmac Maple Fender Strat replacement Necks (5714 - Compound radius, maple fingerboard) on my JTV-69....this is actually a Mighty-Mite neck made for Stewmac...note: the compound radius allows me to do all the string bends on the upper neck with no buzzes.
What a difference!!! I love this guitar now. This is what it needed (at least for me). It now plays and sounds wonderful... I'm sorry I could not live w/the default setup but for $200 (Neck+Schaller Locking Tuners), it's a drop-in replacement (no shims needed for the neck pocket).
This will only work on the JTV-69. However, it's the ticket as far as I'm concerned!"

Thank you so much everyone for posting great comments and suggestions...as of now, I am going to just stick with the rosewood...It is so unimpressive to me at least IMO that we can't contact JTV custom shop but hey, at least warmoth and stew mac exist.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
