HD 500 updates - No connection?

I have been trying to update my HD500 by connecting via a USB port. When i pull up line 6 Monkey and hit the "connect" button and choose hd500 from the drop down list it does not link or recognize it. It says connection : "none" and ESN : "unkown". This used to work fine but now i am having this issue. My operating system is windows 7. Any help?

This issue could be related to a number of things. First check your connections.
Have you tried connecting to different USB Ports?
Are you using a USB hub?
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed:
