HD500 Bundle and Preset SAVE failures...

Through various software updates nothing has changed in the matter of saving a Preset list or Bundle SAVE: acts like it saves the file BUT when opened again, error failure all presets set to "New Tone" empty.
What gives???
Still fails on bundle and preset saves even w 2.02 update.
Is this working for anyone?
IT acts like it saves the file but when you try and open it again everything is lost and empty stating "new tone".
LINE 6 guys?????
Hi
Seems like you might be getting an 'invalid data' error. This seems to occur mostly when importing presets which were created using another POD HD500,POD HD or POD HD PRo family member. It seems to be mainly due to differences in the available physical input settings. When transferring presets between the three devices, for it to be a relatively easy process, you need to ensure that the input specified in the preset, physically exists in the destination device. I don't know where your presets originated, but I suspect there is a link here. You may want to load up an older version of POD HD500 Edit in off-line mode in order to sanitise the Input settings with your bundles.

Same unit HD500 on the last 2 flash updates the same problem. Save either a bundle or setlist file, acts like it is OK, try to reopen it and nothing.
Has done this from when I first got the unit and through the updates. Even a new preset formed on the lasy flash update,. same thing. The saved files are empty of any data.
A thought occured to me after opening up a set list that "MeAmBobbo" worked up on my unit that perhaps saving the file to my standard location folder for presets might be an issue, next time I hooked up the system, I will try and save to desktop on these files and see if that helps.
Seems it cannot be an error w my editor software as I have gone through a couple of update configs and still the same inability to save "bundle" or "preset".
I was easily able to open up and use the "Bobbo" preset samples (which by the way, open the file first then add your USB connection else it wants to overwrite the presets via sends from the POD.)
How am I the only one having this issue with the saved file being empty on reopening??? LINE 6 help????
Well, after getting no real help or reponse I finally discovered the problem tracing the default save locations for the Editor.
I had been saving my presets to a desk top folder and the editor tends to lock to where you tell it to save files and sources from that point for reference.
Looking up the default save locations, I saw they want to go to Users/"name"/Line 6/Tones/HD500 Edit/ (or something close to that, just recalling here)
I saw within that folder of the default location there was a "Bundle" and "Preset" Folder for these files. I can only wager the file error was due to the files be placed in a different folder and location than the system expected. So I hope by correcting this location default the files will now save and load as they are designed to do. I will report later on if this indeed solved the problem for anyone in the future who might have created their own save folder on their desktop thinking to make them easy to locate. The editor is designed to hold the store location in its "save as" and "open" configs so if you alter that apparently it creates an useable format problem.
So thanks Line 6 for not addressing the problem or realizing something relatively simple about the editor software config. Sometimes it pays to be an ex-engineer, we are not all stupid teenage players. Any time I have a problem I will see it solved either by my efforts or help from someone who has experienced the same.
I hope anyone else will see this issue so next time it will be known.
Seriously did not help. Saving a bundle or preset file into the folders inside the HD tone locations still will not reopen. File error all data is lost and empty.
I mean come on, anyone seeing this????
Well, this just weirder with more investigation.
Get this, if I open the files independently by punching them up in their folders they open and a new edit software opens. BUT, if I try to open them when I have my normal editor open and working as in wanting to load up a set list from someone, gets the same error failure and everything is empty and new tone.
It says in the manual that is supposed to be how it works but it will not open a saved file, mine or anyone else.
Yet, I can open the saved bundle or setlist file byitself, presets can be resaved off the new file into the std preset save location and all is fine, but I cannot load in a bundle or preset file while my editor is open. Has been no problem with saving or opening single presets, just bundle and set list.
Please read this, I know what is wrong....
I have the same problem with file saves and a ticket they have not responded. Not sure they have a clue concerning the cause. I worked by myself to try and solve it.
There is a "Bundle" and a "Preset" save error problem. If you save the file into the proper bundle or preset folder all seems to be fine BUT when you try and reload the file "data corruption error" and all presets lost and changed to "new tone". Your data is NOT lost!! Please read the following on how to get around the bug.
Been there and done that, still no reponse from Line 6, I can only assume it is a major software flaw someone would like to ignore or perhaps hope the teenagers will never use the feature to find it does not work.
UPSIDE;
Your files are still intact, do not delete them! IT IS NOT THE POD it is a software problem!!! A new unit will not fix it.
Go find the file outside the editor software and open it, the editor will come up with the presets you saved, you can resend them back into the unit. DO NOT open the editor first and try and load up the 'bundle" or "preset" file IT WILL NOT WORK!
Open the file by locating the POD folder where they are stored, something like C:user/-name-/documents/line6/hdpod/
A.) To keep the POD from sending all its bad content into the editor, open the editor first before you plug in the USB. It will ask you to bring in the POD data, say NO.
B.) Select the preset file you opened by itself and resend it back into the POD.
C.) File save for presets suffers no problems, be sure and save each preset as you design it into the basic POD directory folder. Whenever I edit a preset I "send" it back into the POD memory.
D.) Make sure you have all your presets saved in the basic folder to resend them back into the POD as each software update will replace everything back to factory.
E.) The Bundle and Preset files are still intact just find them and open them without using the main editor software page. A new editor window will open containing your data.
