POD XT Live or PoD X3 Live?

I'm considering buying either a POD Xt Live or X3 Live. What advantages does the X3 have over the Xt? I'll be using whatever I buy to record guitar and bass with.I already have a UX2 and PODFarm 2.5 and a few model packs.Using the POD X3 Live or Xt Live to process the signal would take some of the strain off my computer.I noticed that the X3 has xlr outs, what would be the advantage of using the xlr outs over the line outs to the UX2 or going straight into my daw via usb?
I meant to mark this as a question but was away from pc to long.
Nevermind,I did a few searches and found the answers I was looking for.
I hope the answer was X3, as that already includes the bass amps.
Thats right,X3.The only thing I'm still wondering about are the possible recording options.I could go straight into my daw thru usb,I could go from the Live outputs to the line inputs of my UX2 or, from the Direct(xlr) outs to the xlr inputs of the UX2.Using usb is the easiest way but what is the best sounding way?I know I can use the X3 Live to record vocals too.
I would use the X3 usb to pc/DAW for recording. This will also allow you to easily record a dry signal for later re-amping using Pod Farm (a license for thje original Pod Farm is included with the X3).
The The Pod HD does not directly support dry signal over usb, and there is no Pod HD plugin (yet?). For recording flexibility the X3 remains superior imho. The Pod HD delivers superior tones but it is primarily designed for live performance, not studio/recording work.
Dumb question, but why wouldn't you just get a POD HD? The 2.0 firmware has a bass amp, and the tone overall is lightyears better than the old XT/X3 modeling.
I can't afford a POD HD.
Yeah lots of sound and configuration options in the X3. I have an XT it's not bad, the the X3 does it all.
How much did the X3 Live sell for new?
