JTV-59 noise-problem with Mags using VDI and modelling using 1/4" jack

Hello,
I've got a problem with my JTV-59 that has already been discussed here, but I have found no answer whether this could be solved.
When I play the magnetic pickups (non-modelling) through a VDI cable directly into my POD X3 Live, I get a hum noise, which is really disturbing. Playing with the piezo-modelling it is all silent and fine.
The other way around (playing with the piezo-modelling via 1/4" jack) there is also a hum noise. But when I play the magnetic pickups via 1/4" jack it is all silent.
Could this be a problem with the conversion from analog to digital and vice versa?
Do I have to send it to a service centre or can I solve that problem on my own?
I have already tried it at different locations and with a real amp instead of my POD (just the version with 1/4" jack of course). The problem remains the same.
Thank you for your help in advance! And please excuse my English. It has seen better times ![]()
regards,
Benni
Benni,
This problem should have been addressed in the latest v1.81 flash memory update for the JTV guitars. If you haven't done so already, please update the guitar to that version using Line 6 Monkey:
