No playback through my PC speakers

Hello!
I've had a PodXT for a little over a year now, but I've never bothered with hooking it up to my PC for playback through my PC speakers.
All the software recognizes that my PodXT is connected to the computer, but I get no playback through my speakers. I've tried POD Farm, POD Farm 2 and GearBox.
I have my POD connected through the USB port. I've gone in the preferences and made sure my speakers are selected, and they are.
But I'm at my wits end, I've been messing around with the options now for a good hour and a half and my head hurts! Can someone please assist me?
Thanks!
The PODxt becomes your sound card, so you need to connect you speakers directly to the PODxt.
When your XT is connected to your computer it becomes the soundcard for all the XT software applications that you mention. That means your computer's internal soundcard is bypassed - and that's what your computer speakers are connected to. Try disconnecting your computer speakers from your computer and reconnect them to your XT outputs. If your computer speakers are internal (like in a laptop) you wouldn't get a good sound from them anyway so you will be better off to get external speakers.
Thanks guys! Shortly after posting this discussion, I found this: http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-1453 which explained everything.
Thanks guys!
