TonePort UX2 not showing up as Microphone device in Windows Live Messenger in Win7

I've always used my TonePort as my mic device when doing any webcam chatting and stuff like that. The mic on my cam is horrible, so this was the obvious solution...
I installed Windows 7 a day or so back, and now when I go into the setup for audio/video in Windows Live Messenger, the TonePort isn't even in the list of available devices to use as a microphone.
What is even more bizarre is that the TonePort shows up as a possible speaker device (although it is not set as the default, as I don't want it to be... and it never was in WinXP... and I did try that to see if it made any difference, and it did not) so it is being "seen" by Messenger, but not competely.
In my sound settings I have the TonePort set to be the default recording device as well as the default communications device... everything else works fine (Gearbox, etcetera).
Does anybody have an idea why this has occurred? In XP it just showed up in the list of mic devices from the time I installed it.
