Pod 2 Losing Tone

My Pod 2 when switched off overnight seems to be losing it;s tone.

When switched on it all sounds muffley and toneless (this is for all patches)

When i do a factory reset the sound is OK then.

The Eprom is ver 2.0

Do they have a battery or capacitor to hold up the eprom etc?

Any help would be appreciated
