Yet another broken USB port

Line6...seriously, you guys have got to change out the USB port on these, its a RIDICULOUSLY BAD item on an otherwise great piece of gear. Its flimsy and wobbly, and breaks INSTANTLY if you happen to put anything other than the USB female in there. I've now snapped the center post off of TWO UNITS by mistakenly putting the power tip in there, since ITS RIGHT NEXT TO THE POWER HOLE and its dark and busy on stage.
Once its broken you are just screwed, since there's no other way to program the things effectively. Even when its NOT broken, its still terrible as it wobbles and loses contact all the time. How could you have put such a lousy part as the central point of failure on such a great piece of gear? Switch it to the regular flat USB, you will save yourselves and us all kinds of problems as the wobbles and fragility will instantly go away. You don't even have to reconfigure the board footprint, the pin layout's the same, just mod the case.
Very unhappy.

Yes, it's really quite pathetic. The fragile USB port, the lack of an on/off switch and the way-too-short adapter cable are all quite bad on an otherwise very good pedal.
I Agree i can just believe why they didnt put a on/off switch like m13 hahs it! i dont understand and yes the power cable is too short! it should be like the pod XT live! and thats why im scare cause my usb port is really flexible in there I feel like one day will break! Man I hate this but in the other hand the quality of everything else is fine!!!
Interesting that there has been no Line 6 response, wonder why?
Probably cause the OP admited he made the mistake of putting the power cable in the slot for the USB therefore breaking it.... I agree on all counts though, the no on/off switch, short power cord, & crappy USB port do hurt this unit a lot..... Not sure Line 6 would do anything about it now though cause if they did, every HD owner would be demanding new units! I know I would! LOL
stollypop - cuz they already got our money for one and they just say its our fault. I just hope they saved a bunch of money on that cut rate usb port.
Because it wasn't flagged as a question. If the thread originator doesn't do that, Line 6 won't even look at it.
Oh ok. Seems to me the idea of a forum would be to get feedback on your product. Surely an admin for Line 6 would skim the topic titles to see whats happening?
